Drive eight minutes west of Barrie, to the hamlet of Utopia and you'll discover Bear Creek Golf Club. Boasting 27 spectacular holes, Bear Creek's intelligent course design presents a challenge to golfers of all skill levels, and at an average of 5,600 yards.
The roots of this course run deep into the 1950's, but it wasn't until 1995 that the Moyer family purchased the course and re-named it after the creek that runs through its South Course. .
What you'll notice when you drive through the gates is the attention detail; modern landscaping, meticulously maintained stone gardens, interlock brick and paved cart paths all leading to a welcoming 14000 square foot clubhouse..
The clubhouse offers all the comforts of home, literally, with leather seating, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, five flat screen TVs and an outdoor patio with pergola over-looking the finish holes. The Bear Creek Clubhouse is also home to tournament dinners for up to 200 patrons along with other special events, from retirement parties and wedding anniversaries to fundraising dinners and birthday celebrations.
